We saw these about a mile from the Rocky Mountain National Park, they were licking the salt off the road.

These are photos of mountain scenes between Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. The white hotel is the Stanley Steamer Hotel, it was the hotel that inspired Stephen King's  "The Shining".
